Manager, Electrical Engineering

Milhouse is an engineering and construction company seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineering to lead their electrical engineering team. This role involves overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with standards, and driving innovation in electrical design methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electrical engineers and designers
• Oversee the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for various facility types
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs into broader facility engineering projects
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources while ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, providing guidance and addressing concerns
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in electrical design methodologies
• Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, client presentations, and strategic planning

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering for facilities, including at least 4 years in a leadership role
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD)
• Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and other relevant standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in AIG and SKM
• Certifications in LEED, Value Engineering, Energy Management or similar certifications
• Memberships and active participation in discipline specific professional organizations such as IEEE, CEE, etc
