The Senior Software Engineer with Test Equipment role involves designing and developing advanced Windows applications that facilitate the testing, verification, and validation of weapon system products, working within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications utilizing C#, C++, and other relevant programming languages within Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows OS
- Prioritize and manage multiple software engineering tasks concurrently to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Troubleshoot software issues and test equipment instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams, contributing to the development of engineering and production equipment, environments, and systems
- Develop and derive detailed requirements for software products, ensuring alignment with project and system specifications
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Maintain documentation of software architecture, design decisions, and test procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future maintenance
- Assist in integrating software with hardware components and test instrumentation to support weapon system development and production
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Advanced degree in a related field and at least three years of experience will also be considered
- Proven experience in developing and integrating software applications using programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic
- Proficiency with Windows Operating System and Microsoft Visual Studio
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government-issued (Secret) security clearance, which necessitates U.S. citizenship
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively
