GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

This position is a primarily day time position.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Master’s Degree in Mathematics or related field, with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics. Please attach a copy of your transcripts for review.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.

· Teach 15-17 hours of undergraduate classes in Mathematics each term

· Academic advising of students

· Manage course grading and records management

· Contribute to department-wide program development and assessment

· Participate in student recruitment and retention efforts

· Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the general college community

· Maintain regular, required office hours to be available and meet with students
