HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our People Team as a Human Resources Intern. This is a challenging role in which you will apply your academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment while supporting HarbisonWalker International’s Field HR Business Partner. You will gain hands-on experience in creating, editing and standardizing HR processes, manuals and templates.
Summary The Human Resources Intern will assist the Field HR Business Partner with creating, editing and standardizing HR processes, manuals and templates.
Responsibilities Requirements- Pursuing a MA, BA or BS degree in labor relations, human resources, or equivalent or law degree (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0)
- Requires general knowledge of US labor laws
- Requires a problem-solving and analytical mindset who is interested in process improvement
- Requires the ability to influence people and teams Influencing skills with people and teams
- Requires the ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in all matters
- Requires the ability to convey a positive and professional image to executives, employees, and labor unions
- Requires computer operation skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and other software tools/ solutions as needed to prepare documents and presentations.
- Requires analytical skills and the ability to assemble data
- Requires time management and organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
- Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and individual environment
