AaraTech Inc is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Specialist to support the organization’s information security, risk management, and compliance initiatives. This role is ideal for early-career cybersecurity professionals looking to build hands-on experience in protecting systems, networks, and sensitive data within a regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support monitoring, analysis, and triage of security alerts, logs, and events from security tools and platforms
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and documenting security risks, vulnerabilities, and remediation actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT Infrastructure, Application Development, Compliance, and Operations
- Support implementation and maintenance of security controls aligned with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with vulnerability assessments, patch management tracking, and remediation validation
- Monitor endpoint, network, and cloud security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, IAM, etc.)
- Support incident response activities including investigation, documentation, and root-cause analysis
- Perform security configuration reviews and access control validations
- Assist with audits, risk assessments, and compliance activities (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO, NIST, etc.)
- Maintain security documentation including procedures, incident reports, risk registers, and control evidence
- Support security awareness initiatives and promote best practices across the organization
- Assist with ad-hoc security analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, IT Security, or a related role
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts including network security, endpoint security, and access controls
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, antivirus, vulnerability scanners, or firewalls
- Basic understanding of security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, HIPAA, etc.)
- Experience reviewing logs, alerts, or vulnerability reports
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
