Associate Business Data Analyst

Genesis10 is a staffing firm seeking an Associate Business Data Analyst for a contract position with a healthcare industry client. The role involves supporting data and integration initiatives by analyzing business requirements and translating them into actionable development tickets while coordinating between business stakeholders and developers.

Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers
• Convert approved business requirements into detailed development tickets for engineering teams
• Review source-to-target data mappings and analyze data flows to understand required system changes
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, analysts, and development teams to ensure alignment
• Perform testing and validation to confirm delivered solutions meet business requirements
• Provide production support, monitoring data/file loads and escalating issues when needed
• Maintain documentation and notes to support team knowledge sharing and continuity
• Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs
• Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation

Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Data Analyst
• Source-to-target data mapping experience. Academic or professional experience is fine, but needs to be able to provide concrete examples
• Strong stakeholder management, verbal and written communication skills
• Solid organizational skills to improve ticket completeness and documentation quality
• Basic SQL querying and data analysis capabilities
• Understanding of data workflows and integration processes
• Knowledge of data analysis tools such as TOAD
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be curious, and analytical
• Ability to work independently and manage one's time
