Full-Stack Software Engineer

Hello Patient is a company focused on improving healthcare practices through technology. As a Full‑Stack Software Engineer, you will design and build systems for their AI assistant, Mia, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver user‑facing functionality in NextJS/TypeScript while crafting robust, testable APIs in Python/FastAPI
• Design and optimize backend systems that support high-volume, low-latency voice, SMS, and chat traffic
• Build secure integrations with EHR/PM systems via FHIR, HL7, and custom APIs
• Implement data pipelines and storage solutions (PostgreSQL, Redis, S3, and more) that respect HIPAA and SOC‑2 controls
• Write infrastructure‑as‑code in Terraform and Helm, automate tests, and monitor metrics
• Champion a culture of frequent, reliable production deployments through robust CI/CD pipelines
• Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests; conduct code reviews to uphold performance, readability, and security standards
• Collaborate with compliance teams to embed encryption, logging, and auditability from day one
• Work closely with internal teams to iterate quickly and prioritize user impact
• Share knowledge via design docs; mentor junior engineers as the team scales
