Senior Network Engineer

Sira Consulting is an Inc 5000 company seeking a highly skilled Engineer to join their infrastructure team. The role involves transforming manual infrastructure processes into automated workflows, utilizing skills in Python, Linux, and Ansible to optimize network management and system administration.

Responsibilities:

• Automate Everything: Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows for network provisioning, configuration, and testing
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Ansible and Python to manage and scale our network infrastructure, ensuring consistency across environments
• System Administration: Manage and optimize Linux-based systems (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) that host our critical services
• Network Management: Support and troubleshoot network protocols, VLANs, and connectivity issues within an automated framework
• Database Support: Perform basic administration and integration tasks for both relational (SQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases to support internal tooling
• Monitoring & Optimization: Build dashboards and alerts to ensure high availability and performance of the automated infrastructure

Requirements:

• Expert-level experience with Ansible (playbooks, roles, and Galaxy)
• Proficiency in Python for automation scripts and API integrations
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals, CLI, and shell scripting (Bash)
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, and Load Balancing
• Hands-on experience with SQL (Postgres/MySQL) and MongoDB
