Valor Front is a well-established, PE-backed decontamination technology company seeking a Business Development Manager - Pharmaceutical. This role involves building a national pipeline of pharmaceutical and life sciences accounts, driving sales from initial contact to contract signing, and shaping the go-to-market strategy for the company's first dedicated pharmaceutical sales hire.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and develop a national pipeline of pharmaceutical and life sciences accounts from the ground up
- Identify and engage decision-makers - Contamination Control Specialists, QA Directors, Aseptic Facility Managers, Validation Engineers - at target accounts
- Conduct consultative needs assessments and position the technology as the solution to contamination, sterility, and decontamination challenges
- Drive deals from first conversation through signed contract, including pricing, proposals, and close
- Build long-term recurring revenue relationships, converting reactive decontamination customers into proactive, scheduled service clients
- Develop relationships with strategic partners including Microbiology Laboratories, Industry Consultants, Equipment Manufacturers, and complementary service providers
- Maintain a minimum of 10 sales appointments per week across new and existing accounts
- Attend local and national industry trade events relevant to pharma manufacturing and contamination control
- Participate in co-creating the BD strategy, territory framework, and KPIs alongside senior leadership
Requirements:
- Industry experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, aseptic processing, contamination control, or life sciences is the #1 requirement - sales skills are trainable, deep sector knowledge is not
- Existing relationships within pharmaceutical manufacturers, CROs, or medical device companies
- Consultative, solutions-oriented mindset - able to have credible technical conversations about contamination control, sterility assurance, and FDA validation requirements
- BS/BA required
- Minimum 2 years of sales or business development experience in a service-related field
- Documented track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Self-starter who can build a territory independently without a handed-to-them playbook
- Valid Driver's License; must reside in the U.S
- Aseptic Facility Manager, Contamination Control Specialist, QA Manager/Director, or Validation Specialist roles inside pharmaceutical manufacturers
- Sales or business development at contamination control, sanitation, or decontamination service companies serving pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Experience at companies such as Ecolab (pharma/life sciences division), CROs, or specialized contamination control and sterilization service providers
