Symetra is a national financial services company dedicated to helping people achieve their financial goals. They are seeking a Senior Digital Product Manager to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Symetra Login Experience and Enterprise Portal initiatives, managing multiple complex products and ensuring they deliver meaningful business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate SLX and EP product strategy aligned to department goals, collaborating with customers, business partners, and technology teams while securing resources to maintain a healthy product lifecycle
- Apply Agile practices to deliver high-quality solutions, partner with the product owner to maintain a clear and measurable backlog, support delivery teams on protocols manage risks and dependencies, and drive continuous improvement
- Serve as the primary expert for your product domain, tailoring communication across audiences and formats, clearly conveying product vision and strategy, and acting as the main contact for vendors
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to measure impact, inform product decisions, assess opportunities, and conduct analyses such as return on investment, cost-benefit, and root-cause evaluations
- Mentor other product managers, champion user-centered product development, inspire cross-functional teams, stay current on industry trends, and model strong leadership behaviors
Requirements:
- High school diploma (required)
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent industry experience)
- 10–15 years of relevant work experience
- At least 3 years in a highly regulated industry or specialized domain
- Expertise in digital product management, especially in customer‑facing web and portal experiences
- Proficiency in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and modern authentication standards such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
- Knowledge of or experience with authentication and login platforms, such as Okta, Azure AD, Ping, and Auth0
- Familiarity with role‑based, tiered, and delegated access models that scale
- Awareness of MFA, adaptive authentication, and broader security/compliance considerations for access management
- Experience with Agile practices and work management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira
- Ability to lead with influence, providing strategic direction and mentoring
- Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills
- Ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and make sound decisions in complex environments
- Minimal annual travel required (for people manager roles only)
- Certifications like Scrum Product Owner, Scrum Master or equivalent experience
