POSITION SUMMARY
The Car Wash/Detailer will clean and refurbish new and used automobiles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wash vehicle exterior to clean cars, using cleaning solution, water, cloths and brushes
- Apply wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surfaces to protect surfaces and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine
- Vacuum interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris
- Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices
- Apply revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components
- Clean engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime
- Utilize pressure washer to clean all off-road equipment
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year of previous car detailing experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record for the last three years
- Must be willing to operate Company vehicle
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle
- Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
- Problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Must be able to lift, lower, carry, push or move objects up to 80 lbs. Various tasks may require intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, and the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools. WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is based in a busy training environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Must wear personal protective equipment as required by established Company safety standards. Normal business hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, however some extended hours or weekends may be required, and work schedule will vary.
