
The Apprenticeship Instructor is responsible for delivering high‑quality, in‑class instruction to apprentices participating in a structured technical training program. This role focuses exclusively on classroom content delivery, ensuring apprentices gain the foundational knowledge, technical skills, and professional competencies required for success in their trade or technical discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Facilitation
· Deliver engaging, structured in‑class lessons aligned with apprenticeship curriculum standards.
· Teach core technical concepts, industry practices, safety procedures, and foundational skills needed for entry‑level competencies.
· Facilitate hands‑on demonstrations (in-classroom only) to reinforce theoretical learning.
· Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and experience levels.
Curriculum & Content Management:
· Follow established curriculum materials, lesson plans, and learning objectives.
· Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards, tools, technologies, and best practices relevant to the program.
· Provide feedback on curriculum gaps or opportunities for improvement.
· Prepare instructional materials, classroom activities, assessments, and resources.
Assessment & Evaluation:
· Conduct quizzes, knowledge checks, and practical evaluations to measure learning progress.
· Track learner performance and provide clear, constructive feedback.
· Identify learners needing additional support and provide targeted in‑class guidance.
Learner Support & Engagement:
· Foster an inclusive, supportive, and professional learning environment.
· Encourage active participation, collaboration, and skill development among apprentices.
· Reinforce workplace expectations, professionalism, and technical competencies.
Classroom Operations:
· Maintain a safe, organized, and well‑equipped classroom environment.
· Ensure all instructional equipment and materials are prepared prior to class start.
· Record attendance, progress notes, and other required training documentation.
Qualifications:
Required
· Experience delivering training, teaching, coaching, or mentoring.
· Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
· Ability to simplify complex concepts for learners at various skill levels.
Preferred
· Previous experience working in an apprenticeship or workforce development environment.
· Instructional or adult‑learning training (e.g., train‑the‑trainer, instructional design basics).
· Relevant industry certifications or credentials.
