Position Overview
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator I is a key member of a team responsible for providing essential service support for all safety, security, and crises impacting Tiffany & Co. facilities, assets, special events, travelers, and personnel on a global scale. Working in an innovative, fast-paced 24/7 control center, Operators are required to possess exceptional analytical and crisis management skills. GSOC Operators play an integral role in operational security, facility safety, crisis management, investigations, traveler safety, using various security systems and monitoring software to detect and triage incidents.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinating response to incidents that occur on company premises and/or sites of special interest (e.g., traveler locations, off site meetings, and events, etc.), using the appropriate communication methods and tools. Incidents may include but are not limited to burglar alarms, fires, robberies, burglaries, weather events, and/or medical emergencies globally. Process and evaluate information received from all available sources and respond with the appropriate communication and/or procedures.
- Review, analyze and escalate, as necessary, intelligence data feed information to help mitigate and report threats to company property, employees, and stakeholders. Serve as a key resource for the Crisis Management Team for both formal and informal requests for research and analytical support related to global events, geopolitical conditions, and country/city/area situational awareness, and travel safety.
- Monitor and operate various technical security systems including, but not limited to access control, video management, alarm monitoring, and mass-notification tools, to detect and facilitate the appropriate response to potential security/safety issues and security system failures.
- Maintain the GSOC daily operations to ensure our clients expectations are met and exceeded. Share department and company institutional knowledge. Represent Tiffany & Co. values while responding to emergency and non-emergency calls/emails/messages from employees, outside vendors, and law enforcement. Perform additional tasks and duties as necessary to support client operations and any additional tasks/duties assigned as necessary by GSOC Management.
- Understand and enforce all departmental and company policies and procedures. Responsible for completing inter-department reports and logs accurately and in a timely manner by using computer-based applications. Monitor building related security systems afterhours when the NJ Ops Security staff is not present, and respond to local incidents as needed during this period.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management, Political Science, Criminal Justice, OR 1 – 3 Years of experience working in a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), emergency dispatch center, or similar command center environment.
- Demonstrated high level of competency with computer systems (e.g., Microsoft office, VMS platforms, social media monitoring, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as operational needs/schedule dictate.
- Work within the GSOC in shift patterns as required (8, 10, 12-hour shifts).
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security System professionals.
- Certification/Training in ProWatch (or similar card access system).
- Certification/Training in CCTV VMS applications.
- Certification/Training in Everbridge CEM Platform.
- Training in Dataminr Platform.
The hiring range for this position ranges from $25.16 - $30.00/hour. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
