KP is looking for an experienced Delivery Driver. The Delivery Driver is responsible for the timely pick-up or delivery of products to and from customers, vendors, suppliers and K/P facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and safely picks up, delivers and transports items (such as printed materials, supplies, mail, etc.) to and from specified destinations, such as customers, vendors and other KP facilities.
- Reads and interprets daily route schedule to determine pick-up and delivery priorities.
- Works directly with Shipping lead for pickup and delivery changes throughout the day.
- Prepare, wrap and band materials and pallets for safe transport.
- Loads and unloads truck safely and efficiently by hand, hand truck or lift truck.
- Determines routing and legal road limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits.
- Deal directly with customer & supplier pickup & delivery contact personnel. i.e. Receiving departments
- Always Practices and adheres to KP Safe Driving Policy and abides by traffic laws.
- Maintain vehicle and schedules service and maintenance as required.
- Assist in warehouse duties, as requested.
- Other duties as requested or assigned.

Education, Experience and Training (Knowledge):
- High school diploma and 2 years related work experience or combination of both.
- Two years of driving experience with similar class of vehicle
- Valid driver's license, insurance and good driving record with no recent traffic violations.
Skills and abilities:
- Good verbal, written and listening skills; ability to read, understand and follow SOP’s, supervisor instructions and safety, security and quality procedures.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
- Coordinates requests with others and works collaboratively to meet needs of department.
- Use self-management skills to plan, organize and prioritize work activities to use time efficiently.
- Interpersonal skills to get along with employees, respond positively to instructions and procedures.
Certificates and Licenses: Current valid Driver's license for class of vehicle being driven; lift truck certification.
