
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
- RN Diploma required
- Current BCLS certificate
- Previous nursing experience in rehabilitation is required
- Previous nursing experience with chronic respiratory conditions is preferred
- Ability to deliver client-centered preventative, educational, restorative and supportive care, to all patients based on best evidence, with knowledge of their full scope of practice and ability to recognize the need for appropriate consultation and collaboration with nursing partners (RN, RPN and NP)
- Demonstrated appropriate application of the nursing process, including a commitment to the development, implementation and evaluation of individualized patient care plans for a rehabilitation population
- Demonstrated effective problem solving, with the ability to communicate with and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Demonstrated self-directed commitment to ongoing learning and evidence of professional development
- Demonstrated ability to organize patient care activities, to remain flexible to changing priorities and to adapt effectively to crisis situations and change
- Demonstrated knowledge, sensitivity and expertise in the care of seniors and their families
- Good attendance and performance are essential

Note: Willingness and ability to cross-train across Medical Rehabilitation and Complex Care and provide cross-unit shift replacement coverage as required.
