We’re in an exciting phase of rapid expansion, with new stores opening across the country as we grow our footprint in partnership with Frasers Group. As we scale, bold, high-energy visual storytelling is critical to bringing our product, brands, and marketing to life across every digital and physical touchpoint.
We’re looking for a Graphic & Motion Designer to be the creative engine behind our local brand presence.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll architect our Australian graphic and motion identity translating global/UK creative into commercially powerful, locally relevant campaigns that stay true to the unmistakable “Sport Starts Here” aesthetic.
This is a hybrid creative and technical role. You’ll be office-based developing high-impact motion graphics and campaign assets, while also supporting local shoots and activations to ensure every piece of content delivers an unrivalled brand experience.
• What You’ll Be Doing
Content Creation & Motion Design
• Lead the creation of high-impact motion graphics and video content for social, digital displays, and online campaigns
• Produce multi-branded campaign assets that balance Sports Direct energy with global partner aesthetics
• Support content shoots to ensure fast-turnaround, edit-ready footage
Brand Partnership & Asset Management
• Adapt and localise global creative assets for the Australian retail calendar
• Align partner brand zones and digital presence to both global standards and local commercial needs
• Maintain a best-in-class library of localised marketing assets
Template Development & Design Standards
• Define and document the “Sports Direct Design Standard” for Australia
• Build scalable templates for key retail moments (Back to School, Black Friday, seasonal campaigns)
• Collaborate with VM to align in-store digital signage and POS with online creative
Collaboration & Influence
• Act as the creative link between Marketing and Retail
• Present and influence internal stakeholders with compelling concepts
• Continuously refine assets based on feedback and performance insights
• What We’re Looking For
• 2–4 years’ experience in Graphic & Motion Design (retail or agency preferred)
• A strong portfolio showcasing video editing and animation
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Canva experience highly desirable
• Strong commercial instinct — you understand that great creative drives sales
• Resilient, agile, and confident working to fast-paced retail timelines
• A proactive, “make it happen” mindset
