Security Engineer

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking a Security Systems CAD Designer / Security Engineer to join their engineering team. This role focuses on the design and documentation of commercial security systems using AutoCAD, collaborating closely with sales engineers and project managers to ensure efficient installations.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed AutoCAD drawing packages for commercial security system installations
• Develop system layouts, device placement drawings, riser diagrams, and wiring diagrams
• Produce shop drawings and submittals for electrical contractors and general contractor approval
• Convert bill of materials into construction-ready drawing sets
• Review and revise drawings based on field feedback, redlines, and project updates
• Coordinate design details with sales engineers, project managers, and installation teams
• Provide technical guidance on security hardware, electrified door hardware, and system architecture
• Assist with troubleshooting installation challenges using technical documentation and system manuals
• Maintain organized drawing documentation for all assigned projects
• Support training and knowledge sharing for internal technical staff

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline — OR equivalent field experience
• 5+ years of AutoCAD experience producing construction drawings
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (Full Version 2024 or newer)
• Experience designing low-voltage security systems or related electronic systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project scope
• Knowledge of electrified door hardware and access control integration
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
