Senior Data Engineer | Specialty Insurance / Reinsurance | Azure / Databricks | East Coast

NINE by SATIGO is a global specialty insurance and reinsurance organisation, and they are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build next-generation data platforms. This role focuses on delivering scalable data pipelines and governed data products for underwriting, claims, actuarial, and finance teams across the US and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build enterprise data pipelines and curated datasets
• Develop lakehouse architectures using Databricks and Azure data services
• Optimise SQL Server and cloud data platforms for high performance
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery and operational resilience
• Work closely with underwriting and analytics teams to deliver trusted datasets

Requirements:

• Senior data engineering experience in Azure cloud environments
• Strong expertise in SQL Server, Databricks, PySpark or Spark SQL
• Experience building enterprise data platforms for insurance organisations
• Strong experience supporting underwriting, claims or portfolio analytics data
• Experience working with Lloyd's market / specialty insurance / reinsurance data
