Ares Enterprise is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / Data Scientist to support the design, discovery, and implementation of enterprise data platforms that enable advanced analytics and operational workflows. This role will lead the development of a centralized data storefront and enterprise analytics ecosystem, integrating enterprise data into operational workflows to transform raw data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architectures, pipelines, and data integration frameworks to support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows across enterprise systems
- Develop and implement a centralized data storefront or enterprise data marketplace enabling users to discover, access, and operationalize enterprise data assets
- Integrate multiple structured and unstructured data sources from enterprise systems, operational databases, and external platforms
- Ensure data architectures support data governance, lineage, quality monitoring, and enterprise data management standards
- Integrate enterprise data platforms with ServiceNow workflows, dashboards, and automation capabilities to support operational decision-making
- Leverage Palantir Foundry, Army Vantage, or similar enterprise analytics platforms to build operational analytics and decision-support capabilities
- Enable enterprise workflow platforms such as ServiceNow to consume and operationalize enterprise data through APIs, integrations, and automated pipelines
- Lead technical discovery sessions with mission and business stakeholders to identify data sources, use cases, and operational requirements
- Translate mission or business requirements into data models, analytics frameworks, and data engineering pipelines
- Conduct independent research on best practices for enterprise data architecture, analytics enablement, and workflow platform integration
- Recommend improvements to enterprise data strategies, governance frameworks, and platform architecture
- Develop analytics dashboards, operational insights, and data products supporting leadership decision-making
- Enable advanced analytics capabilities such as: Predictive modeling, Operational analytics, and Digital twin simulations where applicable
- Collaborate with developers, architects, cybersecurity teams, and product owners to integrate analytics capabilities into enterprise systems
- Operate effectively in environments with limited direction and evolving requirements, delivering scalable technical solutions
- Provide technical leadership in data architecture design, integration strategies, and enterprise analytics platforms
- Support Agile development teams through architecture guidance, engineering oversight, and technical problem-solving
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline
- 5–10+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, enterprise analytics, or data platform development
- Strong experience with enterprise database technologies, including: SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Snowflake or similar data platforms
- Experience with Palantir Foundry, Army Vantage, or similar enterprise data analytics platforms
- Experience designing and implementing: Data pipelines, ETL / ELT processes, Data integration architectures
- Demonstrated experience developing data storefronts, data catalogs, or enterprise data marketplaces
- Experience integrating enterprise data platforms with ServiceNow or other enterprise workflow platforms
- Strong experience leading technical discovery sessions and data architecture design engagements
- Ability to operate independently within complex or ambiguous technical environments
- Experience implementing ServiceNow integrations, APIs, or data-driven workflow automation
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms including: AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage frameworks
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and automated data pipeline deployment
- Experience with modern data engineering tools and frameworks including: Python, Apache Spark / PySpark
- Modern data orchestration frameworks
- Experience supporting federal government or Department of Defense programs
- Possession of CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification to meet DoD 8570 administrative requirements
- Active Secret security clearance preferred
