Cloud Application Engineer

Recruit22 is partnering with a leading client to hire a Cloud Application Engineer with strong Azure PaaS and DevOps expertise. The role involves building scalable cloud platforms, automating deployments, and collaborating with development teams to support the client's cloud transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Build and support secure, scalable Azure infrastructure
• Manage Azure services: Entra, Service Bus, WAF, App Services, Storage, IAM, App Gateway, App Insights, Key Vault
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions & Azure DevOps
• Build IaC using Bicep and ARM templates
• Monitor and optimize cloud application performance
• Deploy and support applications across hybrid on‐prem + cloud environments
• Partner with Cloud Infra & App Dev teams on best practices
• Maintain documentation: diagrams, runbooks, configuration standards
• Stay current with Azure, cloud engineering trends & emerging tech (AI, Fabric)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree preferred (CS, Engineering, IS, etc.)
• 3+ years of hands-on Azure experience
• 5+ years of DevOps experience
• Automation skills: PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, compute, governance
• IaC experience: Terraform, Bicep, ARM
• Hybrid cloud + on‐prem connectivity experience
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Self‐driven, curious, adaptable in fast-paced environments
• Preferred certs: AZ‐104, AZ‐305, AZ‐500
• Bonus: experience with D365 deployments, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, C#, AD, IIS
