Reddit is a community-driven platform known for its diverse conversations and user engagement. They are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join their Growth Design team, focusing on enhancing user acquisition and retention through strategic design and prototyping. The role requires leading design initiatives that align with business goals and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Through Ambiguity by taking vague problems and transforming them into clear project scopes and design strategies
- Deploy coding tools like Cursor or similar environments to build high-fidelity, functional prototypes that feel real and use real data
- Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional partners and leaders within Product and Engineering. Acting as a co-architect of the product roadmap, not a service provider
- Confidently present multiple design directions (providing high optionality) to senior leadership, defending your decisions with a mix of data-driven insights and design intuition
- Maintain a high bar for visual and interaction design. Your work should serve as a benchmark for the broader design org. You should be comfortable with proposing new components for the design systems team that scale for Growth and the rest of Reddit
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in product design experience, ideally within growth or high-scale consumer tech
- Proficiency in prototyping via code (Cursor, etc.). You believe the best way to test an idea is to build it
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a mastery of craft. Your Figma files are pristine, and your interaction details are thoughtful
- Comfortable with rapid iteration, A/B testing, and pivoting based on performance data
- Exceptional storyteller with strong writing and presentation skills and the ability to synthesize complex ideas into compelling narratives for executive-level reviews
- Ability to navigate complexity and find clarity in ambiguous situations
