Aspirion is a healthcare revenue cycle company that helps hospitals and health systems recover complex, high-value claims. They are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to manage stakeholder relationships, own the delivery process, and produce actionable insights through data analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Own an assigned stakeholder spoke — managing the relationship proactively, setting expectations on capacity and priorities, and representing BI's delivery commitments to that group
- Own the front end of delivery. Assess incoming requests, push back when requirements aren't ready, lead discovery sessions, author acceptance criteria, and decompose work into assignable tasks before a build begins
- Build Power BI reports and dashboards against signed-off requirements. Assess and validate measure logic, write SQL as needed, and apply design and structural standards consistently
- Respond to analytical questions, ad hoc data requests, and recurring manual reporting obligations that fall outside structured dashboard delivery. Produce clear, accurate, and well-communicated output regardless of format
- Serve as the primary BI support contact for assigned stakeholder domains. Triage incoming issues, maintain existing assets, and balance support with delivery commitments
- Manage work through UAT, obtain stakeholder sign-off, and confirm delivered work is producing value after release
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and effort estimation as part of a structured delivery operating model
- Contribute to active migration from legacy infrastructure to a modern analytics environment, including rebuilding, validating, and stabilizing existing reporting surfaces on the new platform
- Follow established development standards without exception. Contribute to documentation and flag inefficiencies with clear rationale
- In Addition To Serving An Assigned External Stakeholder Domain, Each Analyst On The BI Team Owns One Internal Operational Domain. This Is How The Team Functions As a Disciplined, Product-oriented Organization Rather Than a Reactive Service Desk. Placement Into a Specific Domain Is Determined During The Hiring Process Based On Team Fit And Organizational Need. The Three Internal Domains Are Model Integrity – owns semantic model standards and quality across the Gold layer. Responsibilities include reviewing and signing off on structural model changes, enforcing development standards, and ensuring what ships is technically sound and consistent with enterprise definitions. Intake & Delivery Operations – owns the front door of BI delivery. Responsibilities include intake logging and classification, backlog hygiene, sprint planning coordination, triage of incoming requests, and delivery status visibility. This domain ensures that work enters the team through a consistent, disciplined process and that stakeholders have a clear view of where their requests stand. Adoption & Engagement – owns the feedback loop between BI and the business. Responsibilities include release communication, bi-weekly BI engagement sessions, stakeholder satisfaction surveys, usage monitoring, and adoption confirmation on delivered work. This domain ensures that what BI builds is actually used, understood, and informing decisions
Requirements:
- 5 or more years in business intelligence or analytics with demonstrated ownership of Power BI semantic models in a production environment
- Advanced Power BI proficiency across data modeling, DAX authoring, and visualization design for diverse business audiences
- Strong SQL skills — able to write and optimize queries, understand data relationships, and reason about data structure at the model design level
- Experience leading discovery sessions, authoring requirements, and managing delivery from intake through adoption
- Comfortable owning multiple stakeholder relationships simultaneously, including expectation setting and delivery follow-through
- Able to ramp quickly in unfamiliar data domains and build enough business context to interpret data correctly without being told what it means
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar cloud-based lakehouse platforms
- Familiarity with medallion architecture patterns and layered data design
- Experience on small, high-ownership teams where the full delivery cycle falls to the individual contributor
- Experience contributing to structured delivery processes — intake, backlog management, release governance
- Healthcare revenue cycle, claims processing, or denials management experience
- Git-based version control for BI artifacts
