
While working safely, the Maintenance Apprentice will install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, rebuild and / or fabricate machinery. Will service and repair gear boxes; will troubleshoot, install, repair, rebuild and overhaul utility equipment, such as pumps, fans, hoist, hyster, and other support equipment. Will perform basic carpentry and plumbing projects. The apprentice will safely operate all machine shop equipment; will use various test equipment, such as vibration meters, tachometers, dial indicators and utility support. Will complete all paperwork and work order requests in a timely manner and document outcome of work orders as needed. The apprentice will perform maintenance-related repairs and volt/Ohn meter TPM responsibilities as needed. Additionally, the apprentice will monitor and respond to issues the fire system has working with both internal and external resources such as contractors. The apprentice will be expected to fill in for any position in which they are qualified for when necessary. Will follow all ISO certification standards.
