Position Title:     Financial Assistance Advisor

Reports to:         Director of Financial Assistance

Appointment:     Full-time; 40 hours per week (12-month position)

Status:               Exempt

The Division of Enrollment Management invites applications for a 12 month, full-time (M-F 8am-5pm) highly motivated professional to join our Financial Assistance team. This position is based on campus in Peoria, Illinois and will have a primary role advising and administering financial assistance to students at Bradley University. 

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 - Provide timely and responsive service while assisting students 

 - Use technological and analytical tools to help students secure funding 

 - Determine eligibility for federal, state and institutional financial assistance in accordance with student eligibility and institutional policy 

 - Ensure students meet and maintain financial assistance eligibility requirements 

 - Reconcile student accounts 

 - Process withdrawals and complete aid adjustments due to changes in course registration 

 - Collaborate with Bursar, Registrar, Admissions, Student Support Services, and other departments as needed

 - Adhere to external regulations, internal policies, procedures and requirements related to various areas of responsibility 

Education & Experience: 

 - Required: High School Diploma; Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree 

 - Preference will be given to candidates with experience in higher education and/or knowledge of Bradley University processes and departments. 

Ideal skills and abilities: 

 - Outstanding written, verbal and listening skills. 

 - Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with ability to manage multiple tasks. 

 - Ability and willingness to discern and meet the needs of students. 

 - Strong computer skills including ability to collect and analyze information. 

 - Willingness to work independently as well as within a team environment. 

 - Strong organization skills, with keen attention to detail. 

 - Skill in operating a computer and using Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace 

 - Ability to establish interpersonal rapport with students and colleagues across campus
