As an Indirect Procurement Manager within Indirect Procurement & Capex team, you will serve as the regional link to the global indirect procurement category teams, supporting the development and execution of aligned category strategies for Facilities, CAPEX, MRO, IT, Professional Services, Logistics, Travel, Marketing, HR Services and others. Working closely with global and local stakeholders, you will support ensure RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, cost savings initiatives, service excellence, and sustainability across our supply chain. Effective collaboration is essential, as you will engage with stakeholders across Global and local Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Quality, as well as professionals from various departments within the US Sales Office and procurement teams internationally (including Germany, US, Mexico, China, and Malaysia) to ensure alignment of supplier strategies and the implementation of industry best practices.
This position reports directly to the Head of Procurement in Americas.
Key Responsibilities
- Category Strategy Development: In close cooperation with the Global and Local Key stakeholders to define and implement category strategies for Facilities, CAPEX, MRO, IT, Professional Services, Logistics, Travel, Marketing, HR Services and others. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovation.
- Supplier Management: Lead sourcing activities, including RFPs, negotiations, and contract management. Develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure service quality and compliance.
- Cost Optimization & Risk Management: Drive procurement cost reduction initiatives without compromising service levels. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity.
- Strategic Partnering & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across different departments and sites to align procurement strategies with operational needs. Act as a trusted advisor for the categories handled.
- Supplier Performance: Monitor KPIs for performance, cost savings, and sustainability goals, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements by performing supplier re-evaluations within the required timeframe as defined by internal procedures.
- Data-Driven Procurement: Analyze category spend, supply markets, and cost drivers in collaboration with our new Procurement Insights team to uncover efficiencies and opportunities.
- Sustainability: Integrate responsible sourcing practices into category plans. Ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and driving environmental and social impact across the supply base
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Challenge the status quo and actively seek opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
What You Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 years of relevant work experience in Procurement.
- 3–5 years of procurement and category management experience with a procurement focus and strong interest.
- Strong stakeholder management experience and ability to collaborate across functions and regions in a matrix environment while building strong internal and external partnerships.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Proven and strong skills in negotiation, supplier management, and contract execution etc.
- Extensive experience in managing RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, including e‑auctions. Proficiency in the use of e‑sourcing platforms is essential.
- Proficiency with procurement systems (P2P, spend analysis, e-Sourcing, contract management tools, etc.).
- Excellent project management, communication, and engagement skills.
- Pro-active mindset highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and initiative, consistently focused on driving business value.
- Ability to navigate within a dynamic, fast paced global environment. Quickly adapts to the changes while maintaining productivity and a positive outlook.
- It will be an advantage if you in addition have Procurement experience within other Indirect spend areas.

Full Position Description
Objective:
The Indirect Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a cost‑effective, compliant, and value‑driven supplier base across indirect categories that support operational excellence across U.S. manufacturing facility in Noblesville and a regional sales office (US). This role ensures reliable, cost-effective supply of indirect goods and services while maintaining compliance with medical device regulatory requirements. The position partners closely with Operations, Quality, Finance, Engineering, and Corporate Procurement to drive value, mitigate risk, and support business growth.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with the Global Indirect team to develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories such as Facilities, CAPEX, MRO, IT, Professional Services, Logistics, Travel, Marketing, HR Services or others determined by business needs with the aim to reduce costs, ensure supply, mitigate risks and gain technical advantage.
- Lead category planning, spend analysis, competitive bidding, supplier negotiations and contract lifecycle management to achieve cost, quality, and service objectives.
- Identify and deliver year-over-year cost savings, value added / value engineering opportunities, and process improvements.
- Support capital procurement planning and execution, including equipment, tooling, and facility upgrades.
- Develop contracts, NDAs, RFPs, and RFQs using e‑sourcing platforms to ensure compliant, competitive, and efficient procurement processes.
- Support the annual budget process (price updates, forecasted savings, etc.) and alignment with Finance.
- Investigate and recommend new and/or alternate sources of supply as necessary to support new product development, cost reduction requirements, and/or supplier performance issues.
- Perform various cost modeling analysis to drive decisions.
- Optimize costs while meeting product and regulatory specifications.
- Participate in new product development teams.
- Act as an escalation point for Issue resolution.
- Ensures all supplier documentation and information comply with Ambu’s Procurement procedures and quality system requirements and participates as a subject‑matter expert during external quality audits.
- Acts as project manager for cross-functional projects related to Procurement.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, supplier management, and contract execution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and key Ambu systems, including Keelvar, M3, M‑Files, ProTrack, and collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint;
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
