
Clinical Nurse – Non-Invasive Cardiology
Overview
The Clinical Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of Indiana University Health, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory/accreditation standards. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing and coordinating competent, evidence‑based care across the care continuum, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Clinical Nurse participates in decision‑making, teaching, mentoring, and multidisciplinary collaboration to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes, and support operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
Non-Invasive Cardiology Nurse
The Non‑Invasive Cardiology Nurse provides specialized nursing support for diagnostic cardiac testing and procedures performed within the department. This role supports patient preparation, monitoring, recovery, and clinical coordination for a variety of non‑invasive cardiac studies. Nurses in this area work closely with cardiologists, technologists, and support staff to ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality patient care.
This role requires strong assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to patient needs during cardiac testing. The nurse must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with fluctuating patient volumes and testing demands.
