We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Arts and Crafts Instructor to join our summer camp team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art, a love for working with children, and the ability to create a fun and engaging environment where campers can explore their artistic abilities. As the Arts and Crafts Instructor, you will lead various arts and crafts activities, fostering creativity, self-expression, and teamwork among campers aged [age group].

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement a variety of arts and crafts activities, including painting, drawing, sculpture, beadwork, tie-dye, and more.
Provide instructions and demonstrations to campers, ensuring they understand the process and techniques involved.
Encourage campers to explore their creativity and express themselves through various art forms.
Manage and supervise a group of campers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Organize and maintain a clean and well-stocked arts and crafts supply area.
Collaborate with fellow camp staff to integrate arts and crafts projects into the overall camp experience.
Adapt projects for different skill levels and ensure that each camper has a positive and successful experience.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive camp environment.
Communicate with camp leadership and parents regarding any camper concerns or special needs.
Lead group discussions and activities to showcase campers’ artwork, encouraging pride in their creations.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children, preferably in a camp or educational setting.
A strong background in visual arts, crafts, or related fields.
Ability to teach a variety of art techniques in a clear and engaging manner.
Creative, patient, and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to different learning styles and provide personalized instruction.
Organized and capable of managing materials and supplies efficiently.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before the start of camp).
Previous camp or teaching experience is a plus.
