What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop new features using object-oriented programming in a state-of-the-art Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) software application based on the Finite Element Method (FEA).
• Collaborate with software developers throughout the design, implementation, and verification processes  
• Investigate and resolve defects in production code to enhance software reliability.
• Develop and execute unit tests for newly developed features.
• Analyze results and contribute to improving the usability and performance of the software.

What You’ll Need:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical major, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after completion of the internship.
• Strong and demonstrable knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming principles.
• Deep understanding of programming concepts such as threading, memory management, and code complexity (space and speed).
• Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented, responsible, and highly motivated.
• Experience debugging code using IDEs such as Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, PyCharm, or similar.
• Preferred: Knowledge of FEA or similar computational techniques; familiarity with Linux operating systems and development tools (e.g., gdb, gcc); experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, software configuration management tools (e.g., GIT), Microsoft Technologies (.NET Framework, COM, ATL), and agile software development practices.
