Tennis Shop Attendant

This position will provide guest service at the Tennis facility at Hershey Country Club.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Opening/closing tennis courts daily*

• Court maintenance, including watering the Har-Tru courts*

• Providing guests with water, towels, lights, etc., taking court reservations and program sign-ups, assisting at socials, team matches, events and lessons.*

• Working in the tennis shop, conducting retail transactions and collection of fees.*

• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.

• In accordance with Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services (Child Abuse), and Fingerprint-based federal criminal history submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent (FBI), as a condition of continued employment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must demonstrate a positive attitude towards guests and members.

• Must have good communications skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport.

• 1 year of tennis background and playing experience preferred

Job Demands:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (duration of shift), walk, bend, reach, kneel.

• Requires flexibility in work schedule, ability to work varied shifts which may include morning, mid-day, evenings, weekends, and holidays according to operational needs.

• This is a part-time, seasonal position, typically working May through October (subject to change based on business levels).
