Maintenance Technician

Description

This position is primarily responsible for maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, fabrication machinery, and maintaining grounds by performing the following duties;

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

·        Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.

·        Repairs down equipment and conducts preventative maintenance on schedule to prevent unplanned downtime and keep updated documentation records of the performed maintenance.

·        Operates equipment as needed following all safety guidelines and procedures.

·        Performs welding duties as required, general maintenance and/or building required tables, racks, or tooling in order to increase safety and/or efficiency.

·        Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

COMPETENCIES:                  

·        Ability to read work instructions.

·        Able to work overtime and weekends.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Strong mechanical aptitude

·        Basic computer skills

·        Read and interpret prints and specifications for equipment and product

·        Basic electrical knowledge

·        Be a self starter and able to work alone in some circumstances

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:                                                      

·        High school education or equivalent and/or Tech School Certification

·        2 -4 years experience
