Software QA Engineer II

 

Position Summary:

The candidate participates in the activities of Testing in all departments and business units. This is a hands-on role that writes / reviews test scripts, executes scripts and creates summary documentation around test execution for all products and platforms.  This position will contribute to the organization’s testing strategy and be a contributor to the implementation of the strategy. The candidate will interact with application development teams, product owners, and other business stakeholders to review requirements, identify defects, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products to meet our clients’ business needs. The candidate will create automated test scripts and be responsible for executing, metrics, and monitoring them. Along with automation, they will focus on improving communication and collaboration that facilitate iterative improvement. 

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for SaaS applications using BDD Cucumber or Playwright Framework (or anything relevant) for data operations related to our SaaS solutions
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and product owners to understand functional requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Perform regression testing and validate new features and enhancements
• Design and develop test automation scripts and utilize testing tools, including Selenium, to automate the testing process
• Use bug tracking system to document defects and report them to developers
• Develop and maintain documentation for test plans, test cases, and test results
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, particularly in AI and GenAI solutions, to enhance testing practices.
• Design and develop tools for managing and applying quality assurance principles, such as IQ/OQ/PQ in both automated and manual
• Optimize the testing process based on metrics and analytics derived from data from past projects
• Configures and maintains all components of the testing lifecycle
• Follows established procedures for change management across applications where changes are necessary
• Creates documentation such as WIKI articles for common processes that are repeated and can be shared with others
• Prepares effort estimates for automation projects
• Perform stress and load testing on applications to ensure expected performance from the application

 Qualifications:

• Bachelors in technology/Engineering (Computer Science or equivalent)

 Minimum Required:

• 2-4 years developing and implementing test plans, test scripts, and testing solutions
• 1+ years of experience with testing automation and tools such as Selenium
• Experience working with various software development tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google)
• Experience working with GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jira or similar systems for software development lifecycle management, source control, branching, and/or CI/CD pipelines
• Strong experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on automated testing
• Strong experience in testing SaaS applications and data operations

Other Required:

• Expertise in python, SQL Server, Typescript or Javascript
• Expertise working in Windows and Unix ecosystems
• Expertise with Apache JMeter, Test Harness, Selenium
• Working knowledge of US Healthcare / Market Access would be an advantage.
• May require travel domestically and/or internationally including overnight stays up to 5%”

Preferred:

• Experience with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps
• Experience with testing AI solutions
• Azure AI Fundamental Certification
• Azure Data Fundamentals Certification

• Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and work effectively across the organization to accomplish team goals is critical. The successful candidate must possess excellent judgment, management, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work with team members to convey results, incorporate enhancements and productionize processes across projects. Must be able to understand the dynamics of how a team interconnects and relies upon every member.
• Strategic Thinking: Conceptualize outside of the aspects of a project at hand, with an ability to visualize how the work contributes to and drives forward the overall project.
• Solutions oriented: must be able to display resourcefulness and confidence under pressure

Resilience: must be able to look past obstacles and roadblocks, ask questions and for support, and find their way around any obstacle.
