D24 Search is a seed-stage company focused on simplifying the US healthcare system through AI solutions. They are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to manage their AWS infrastructure and improve developer experience while supporting HIPAA compliance initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage our AWS infrastructure (ECS, Aurora RDS, VPC) and monitoring stack (OpenTelemetry, Honeycomb, Sentry, Datadog)
- Enhance developer experience by optimizing our TypeScript monorepo, Nx build system, and Docker-based DevContainers
- Improve and manage CI/CD operations using GitHub Actions and Pulumi for multi-environment deployments
- Support HIPAA compliance initiatives, including implementing role-based access controls (RBAC) and security monitoring
- Initially dedicate your first 3-4 months to clearing the infrastructure backlog, then transition to a split role contributing to broader engineering tasks
Requirements:
- 5 - 10 years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, with a software engineering background
- Recent experience at a high-growth, venture-backed startup (Seed - Series C)
- Software engineer specializing in infrastructure
- Experience in a regulated industry like health-tech or fintech
- CS, Math, or similar degree
- Strong coding ability, not just configuring systems
- Experience with AWS infrastructure (ECS, Aurora RDS, VPC)
- Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions
- Willing to work 50-55 hours/week in an intense environment
