Cooper Machinery Services provides natural gas compression equipment and services globally across various industries. The Product Development Manager is responsible for managing the lifecycle of the ACI Services compressor product portfolio, ensuring it is competitive and aligned with market needs while supporting commercial growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for ACI products and services within targeted customer segments, with primary focus on Midstream and Downstream markets
- Build and maintain relationships with top customers through account manager support and direct engagement with end users
- Conduct competitive assessments and develop SWOT analyses to position ACI offerings effectively
- Evaluate existing ACI offerings and develop strategic expansion plans
- Identify high‑failure or high‑volume parts for stocking and recommend optimal stocking levels
- Collaborate with Engineering to identify and improve key products or parts
- Provide technical support to customers
- Train and support sales teams to integrate ACI products into their daily sales activities
- Develop pricing strategies in collaboration with the Pricing team
- Identify revenue growth opportunities through product enhancements and market expansion
- Promote bundled offerings with Cooper regional teams to maximize value delivered to end users
- Own topline growth and margin performance for the ACI Compressor business
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED and at least 7 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of reciprocating compressors and their applications
- Basic understanding of contract structures
- Strong customer relationship‑building skills
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Commitment to safety, customer service quality, and teamwork
- Bachelor's degree preferred
