ELLKAY is a trusted data management partner in five healthcare segments, providing innovative solutions for healthcare organizations. The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for driving the successful delivery of complex projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction, while also mentoring other project managers.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the successful implementation of solutions in the ELLKAY product suite
- Oversee full lifecycle implementation of complex healthcare data, interoperability, or migration projects, including planning, execution, and deployment across multiple ELLKAY product lines
- Lead high-impact client engagements that require advanced technical knowledge, cross-department coordination, and strategic stakeholder alignment
- Own project planning and execution: create detailed project plans, manage resource allocation, track milestones, and ensure on-time, in-scope delivery
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications and status updates with internal and external stakeholders, including executive sponsors
- Manage and resolve risks, issues, scope changes, and interdependencies across technology, business, and client functions
- Define and enforce success criteria across projects; ensure high client satisfaction and alignment with contractual deliverables
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and operational support to project managers and junior staff within the department
- Serve as the first point of escalation for project and client issues that require elevated attention
- Contribute to onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer across the project management team
- Foster a high-performance team culture that emphasizes collaboration, quality, and ownership
- Identify and champion opportunities to optimize delivery methodologies, tools, and workflows
- Recommend and help implement improvements to team processes, documentation standards, and project reporting frameworks
- Contribute to internal strategic initiatives aimed at improving client outcomes, scalability, and efficiency
- Participate in department-wide planning and alignment efforts with Product, Engineering, QA, and Sales teams

- Strong understanding of EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech), ancillary systems, or other clinical data platforms
- Proficiency with healthcare data exchange standards and formats (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CCD, APIs, CSV, XML)
- Familiarity with interoperability workflows and integration patterns between healthcare systems
- Working knowledge of networking protocols and data transmission methods (e.g., SFTP, VPN, TCP/IP)
- Comfortable leading technical conversations and collaborating with engineering, QA, and product teams
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare, technology, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of project management experience, with 2+ years in a senior-level or lead role
- Experience delivering implementations within healthcare IT or health data environments required
- Demonstrated success leading projects across multiple departments or product lines simultaneously
- PMP or other project management certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, Asana, Vision, Jira, Confluence)
