Staff Software Engineer, Merchant Decisioning

Parafin is a company dedicated to supporting small businesses by providing them with essential financial tools through technology. They are seeking an experienced software engineer to join their merchant decisioning team to build a scalable platform that supports underwriting and decision-making for numerous businesses daily.

Responsibilities:

• You will own our Python-based underwriting and application decisioning product and drive its development
• You will closely define the architecture and underlying infrastructure all the way from the technologies we use to the design principles that we apply
• You will work closely with our data scientists to build a platform that is reliable, scalable, and easily iterable
• You will be integrating ML Infrastructure into the platform to make DS-driven decisioning more powerful and intelligent

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience working in an engineering role
• You care deeply about building high-quality infrastructure with relevant experience and take immense pride in your craft
• You are comfortable owning and driving the development of the product from 0 to 1
• You thrive in ambiguity and have a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals
• You are excited about working on a small team and helping us set the foundations for the company
