Network Engineer

Horizontal Talent is seeking a dedicated Network Engineer to focus on innovative automation and firewall management. This role involves crafting strategic network designs, addressing complex issues, leading automation initiatives, and collaborating across teams to enhance security and develop solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Craft and execute strategic network designs in line with technical and business project requirements
• Analyze and address complex network and firewall issues to ensure robust infrastructure performance
• Lead automation initiatives to streamline network operations and maximize efficiency
• Collaborate across teams to advance boundary security and develop innovative solutions
• Prepare detailed specifications for network implementations and perform rigorous testing

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python and Ansible for effective scripting and automation
• Solid experience with network architecture and firewall technologies, including configuration and deployment
• Strong analytical skills in network protocols and system security controls
• Ability to produce insightful management reports and participate in cross-functional projects
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and drive technology lifecycle strategy
• Experience with tools such as Puppet and working with Palo Alto and Juniper firewalls
• Certifications like CISSP, CCSP, or similar credentials in Information Security and Cloud Technology
• Adept at dealing with complex hardware issues and initiating proactive solution measures
• Experienced in leading technical projects and providing comprehensive project updates
