Sr Systems Engineer

TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, and they are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support and evolve a large-scale Azure enterprise environment. This hands-on role involves operational ownership and project-based implementation work, focusing on Terraform in Azure, Azure networking, and Linux systems engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform
• Support and maintain Terraform-managed Azure resources, including:
• Azure Virtual Machines
• Common Azure platform and infrastructure services
• Contribute to Terraform adoption as part of active infrastructure projects
• Perform day-to-day operational work with Azure Firewalls and Network Security Groups (NSGs)
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, access, and security issues
• Apply a strong understanding of Azure networking concepts, even when not acting as the primary designer
• Assist with project implementations involving Azure Key Vault
• Support:
• Password and secret vaulting
• Key rotation
• Certificate management
• Help ensure secure integrations between Azure services and Key Vault
• Administer and support RHEL and Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) environments
• Perform standard Linux engineering responsibilities, including:
• System hardening and secure configuration
• Shell scripting and automation
• Performance tuning
• Troubleshooting production issues

Requirements:

• Terraform in Azure environments
• Microsoft Azure infrastructure
• Azure networking, specifically Firewalls and NSGs
• Azure Key Vault
• Linux administration (RHEL and/or OEL)
• Shell scripting (Bash)
