As a Senior Software Engineer on the Route Execution team, you will build systems for route planning, optimization, and real-time tracking for fleets, collaborating with design and product teams to deliver impactful features.
Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable backend services that handle tracking and execution of hundreds of thousands of routes in real time, along with reporting and suggested optimizations to better utilize vehicles, drivers, and take optimal routes to accomplish their work
- Create web interfaces that allow dispatchers and fleet managers to create and manage routes and deliveries for their entire organization from a single pane of glass
- Implement APIs and integrations with TMS/ERP systems that process millions of route events a day
- Bringing to life our next-gen commercial navigation features that utilize real-time data (weather, live traffic, hours of service) into our route tracking flow to make routes accurate and dynamically optimal for our customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of relevant industry experience in software development
- Strong programming/coding fundamentals
- Experience designing and architecting large, high-scale systems
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage technical discussions
- An ability to estimate, communicate, and deliver upon project milestones with your team
- Located in the US or Canada
- Demonstrated experience in routing, dispatch and navigation systems
- Contributed heavily to driving significant value to their customers
- Enjoys understanding our users and what would make their day-to-day processes easier to manage
