Senior Manager, Platform Engineering

Ontra is the leader in AI-powered solutions for the private markets, seeking a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering to lead high-impact platform initiatives and grow resilient engineering teams. This role involves designing a unified permissions framework and fostering a high-performance culture while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Plan: Work with our Product and UX teams to understand customer needs and plan highly iterative, lean approaches to address those needs
• Scale: Guide the team to overcome all of the challenges that come with rapidly scaling a company, from technical scaling challenges to human growth scaling challenges
• Collaborate: Partner with other roles such as Product,UX, Architecture, ML, and DevOps to rapidly deliver solutions to our customers that also serve our long-term business objectives
• Inspire : Lead and motivate the team to embrace a high-performance culture where we all aspire to greatness

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as an individual contributor
• 3+ years of technical leadership in a high growth, scaling company managing senior engineers
• A history of delivering scalable technical solutions that solve customer problems and scale as the business grows
• Ability to lead a team as well as work alongside them
• Great communication skills
• An empathetic approach to teamwork
• The ability to prioritize tasks in a high performance development environment
