
JOB SUMMARY:
To provide the next operation with a quality product by sanding to tolerance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Working from work orders, specifications, procedures, and detailed instructions to sand basic parts.
· Operates pneumatic and hand sanding tools to prepare basic furniture parts at the raw stage, or prior to build-coat /topcoat processes.
· Maintains close mental and visual attention to meet tolerance of finish per process.
· Responsible for own work.
· Performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION:
· Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification, and Textron Aviation’s blueprint reading class preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
· 6+ months of sanding experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids. Safety
shoes and protective clothing could be required.
