This position is eligible for up to $15,000.00 Sign on Bonus for those that qualify. ($7,500.00 for those with less than one year of experience)
Position Summary: Responsible for the delivery of resident care through the nursing process of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Guides resident teaching and the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Understands and adheres to GCMC’s Compliance Standards as they appear in GCMC’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and GCMC regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Education, License & Cert: • Graduate of a licensed practical nursing program with a certificate in nursing • Current NYS registration/license as a Licensed Practical Nurse required • Current BLS‐CPR Certification required
Experience: • Entry level graduate of licensed practical nursing program and licensed or a permit in New York State.
Essential Functions:
1) Provides safe and accurate nursing care and other therapeutic measures according to policy and procedures.
2) Resident Monitoring ‐ Monitors residents as appropriate for condition, status and safety according to nursing policy.
3. Medication Administration‐Performs safe administration and complete documentation of medications in accordance with nursing policy.
a) Follows medication administration policy.
4. Safe Discharge/Discharge Planning
5. Demonstrates the ability to safely and effectively use department equipment.
6. Demonstrates working knowledge and understanding of emergency preparedness plans and operations within the nursing facility.
7. Infection Control‐Provide safe and effective resident care in accordance with Infection Control policies and procedures
Pay Range for this position is $27.00-$39.27/hour Dependent on years of applicable experience
