What to expect:
The Bilingual Supervisor, Instruction and Training is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality seminars, training courses, and educational programs that blend hands-on skills with theoretical instruction. Serving as a bridge between educational institutions, industry professionals, and students, this role also manages CWB’s full-time and contract instructors to ensure consistency and excellence.
Key responsibilities include delivering training, conducting skills assessments, mentoring instruction staff, tutoring students, and tracking progress across learning programs. This person plays a pivotal role in maintaining high educational standards, supporting the growth of the welding industry, and strengthening relationships with industry partners and academic institutions to ensure world-class service and continuous program improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
Instructional and Training Coordination and Delivery
- Oversee the delivery of our training programs and courses.
- Work with Manager, Education Delivery to coordinate and schedule all CWB and Contract Training instructors.
- Design high level quality training delivery methods including in class, virtual or hybrid models.
- Work closely with the Sales Team and Education Manager to coordinate the delivery of custom courses.
- Provide hands-on skills upgrading and theory training while coordinating all aspects of course delivery.
- Collaborate closely with the Development Team to provide feedback on design and development, of training materials, ensuring all programs remain current and aligned with industry standards.
- Lead the education team in instructional strategies, incorporating feedback from instructors and students to enhance learning outcomes.
- Strive to continuously improve the quality content of CWB training to better meet the present needs and emerging needs of customers.
- Manage student feedback surveys and generates reports to ensure optimal product and course quality for our students. Follows up on any reported issues or complaints as they pertain to the training experience of our clients.

Instructor Coordination and Supervision
- Manage and support the professional development, performance, and well-being of the educators.
- Leadership and Direction: Provides leadership and sets clear expectations for Instructors regarding their roles, responsibilities, and performance standards.
- Support and Guidance: Offers guidance, mentorship, and support to employees, helping them improve their teaching methods, classroom management techniques, and professional skills. They may conduct regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance employee performance.
- Conflict Resolution: Handles conflicts and disputes among employees effectively, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. They mediate conflicts, address grievances, and foster open communication channels to resolve issues and maintain morale within the team.
- Performance Evaluation and Improvement: Conducts performance evaluations and assessments to measure employee progress and effectiveness. They identify areas for improvement, develop action plans, and provide resources or support to help employees meet performance expectations.
- Policy Implementation: Ensures that employees adhere to institutional policies, procedures, and regulations. They communicate policies clearly, enforce compliance, and address any violations or concerns promptly and fairly.

What you bring to the table:
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- This is a combination of work from home position with the requirement to teach in-person as needed
- Ability to travel to other training locations as required. A valid driver’s license, a valid Canadian passport and your own vehicle are mandatory.
The following qualifications would be an asset:
- Degree or diploma in Education or Adult Learning
- 5 years relevant experience
- 5 years’ experience as a trainer/instructor
- Experience training users in a classroom environment, online and on a one-on one basis
- CSA W178.2 Level 2 or 3 Welding Inspector
- “B” Welder Certification
