Reporting to the Program Lead for the Music Development Program in Public Education, the Music Development Program Administrative Assistant coordinates the management and implementation of all MDP classes, concert activities, and administrative duties required by the Tianjin Juilliard Music Development Program. This position helps ensure effective communication and coordination on all MDP‑related matters.
This role also reports on a dotted-line basis to the Admissions and Enrollment Lead of Public and Continuing Education, and assists with student onboarding, registration, offboarding, and related processes.
Responsibilities
MDP Sunday
- Assists the Program Lead in facilitating effective communication and coordination on all instrument study-related issues and classroom management during MDP Sundays.
1. Sets up and pre-tests teaching equipment in designated classrooms; post-class, manages logistical wrap-up.
2. Coordinating with the housekeeping team for venue cleaning and tidying.
3. Serves as the on-site customer service liaison and program operator, addressing and resolving inquiries and issues raised by parents and students under the supervision of the MDP Program Lead, to ensure smooth program operation and customer satisfaction.
4. Provides immediate on-site support for all emergencies, such as student illness, minor injuries, and other unexpected incidents.
- Provides production and operational support for all performance events, including MDP end-of-semester concerts, community events, on- and off-campus performances, masterclasses, studio classes, etc.
Week day (Thursday-Friday)
- Works in tandem with the PECE Admissions Lead, external PECE Customer Service, school’s facilities, and IT department to help manage and process the MDP onboarding and offboarding processes each semester.
- Maintains and updates MDP faculty studio bookings, student instrumental trial lessons practice room bookings, and performance venue bookings on Asimut.
- Provides MDP internal customer service, answering and resolving inquiries and issues from parents regarding class packages, policies inquires, teacher-student relations, program improvement, special requests, payment, etc.
- Supports on- and off-campus events for the PECE department, such as Christmas tree lighting, extra chorus rehearsals, Family Day, etc.
- Assists with concert programs design and formatting.
- Liaises with MDP faculty to ensure up-to-date communication on department plans and timelines.
- Assists the MDP Program Lead in developing and maintaining MDP internal file on Teams

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or 1+ years of related experience in school program management
- Demonstrates diligence, integrity, and rigor in work.
- Detail-oriented
- Verbal and written fluency in English and Mandarin
- Ability to successfully prioritize the management of multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents, children, and musicians
- Proficient in software including Asimut, Kingdees, WeCom, and Excel.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings when is required.
