General Information

The Central Purchasing department is responsible for the strategtic development of the complete supplier portfolio at Vitesco Technologies. We negotiate prices, purchase quantities, contracts, etc. Our purchasing portfolio includes different types of passive components, such as capacitors, resistors and coils. Our target is to forsee and respond to challenges and changes on the market and always remain competitivitiy in the field of passive components and E-Mobility.

 

A basic requirement for an internship at Schaeffler is proof of enrollment at the time of the internship. This position is available from September 1, 2026 for a duration of 6 months.

 

Your Responsibilities

• Supporting projects in purchasing
• Supporting the sourcing process for new business (including inquiries, offers, and decision templates)
• Participating in communication with suppliers and internal decision-making
• Contract and data management
• Organizing and participating in supplier meetings
• Data analysis and preparation of various templates and files

 

Your Qualifications

• Studies in the field of business informatics, industrial engineering, economics, or a comparable discipline
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Business English
• Proficiency in MS Office programs, especially Excel
• Knowledge of Power BI, Knime, and databases is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Effective communication skills
• Strong team player
• Proactive and eager to learn
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with constant new challenges
