Market Development Engineer - Medical

Celanese is a global leader in chemistry, producing specialty material solutions used across major industries. The Market Development Engineer - Medical is responsible for driving new customer engagement and expanding market presence within key medical and healthcare segments, providing technical expertise throughout the product development life cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Generates opportunities for new business growth
• Manages internal new product development (NPD), testing, computer-aided engineering and external developments to drive projects to close
• Targets new customers in selected market spaces
• Works with new customers to determine potential applications and best Celanese material solutions
• Works with Account Manager at existing customers to develop new applications and provide technical support as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Technical Field
• 10+ Years in plastics or related field preferred; 7 years required
• Technical expertise combined with business or market development experience required
• Willingness to travel - 50%
• Application development experience
• Customer identification and prospecting
• Customer focus and urgency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact, influence and facilitate at several levels of the organization
• Strong focus on results
• Good understanding of business interactions
• Established experience and network within the Medical space
• Specific knowledge of semicrystalline engineering resins and their applications
