HMG AMERICA LLC is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of ALIP-based insurance solutions through comprehensive manual and automated testing. The role requires collaboration with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to validate end-to-end policy lifecycle functionality and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- The ALIP QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of ALIP-based insurance solutions through comprehensive manual and automated testing, with strong emphasis on insurance domain expertise and ALIP product knowledge
- The role collaborates closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to validate end-to-end policy lifecycle functionality and regulatory requirements
- QA & Testing Responsibilities: Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for ALIP applications; perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing; ensure data accuracy across policy, billing, claims, commissions, and underwriting workflows
- Automation Testing: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent; integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines; focus on regression automation and API testing (REST/SOAP)
- ALIP Product Knowledge: Strong hands-on understanding of ALIP architecture, configuration, rules, calculations, batch jobs, and integrations; validate ALIP-specific components such as product setup, policy lifecycle events, endorsements, renewals, and migrations
- Insurance Domain Knowledge: Deep knowledge of life and annuity insurance concepts including new business, underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims, reinsurance, and regulatory compliance; ability to translate business requirements into effective test coverage
- Data & Integration Testing: Validate data flows between ALIP and upstream/downstream systems (CRM, billing, claims, data warehouses); perform SQL-based data validation and batch/job monitoring
- Quality & Defect Management: Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA; perform root cause analysis; ensure timely resolution and quality sign-off
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams; review requirements and design documents; provide clear test reports, metrics, and quality status to stakeholders
