About this role
AcuityMD is a software and data platform that accelerates access to medical technologies. In this role, you will lead initiatives to improve and expand core data products, build data pipelines, and architect a scalable platform to enhance data product development.
Responsibilities:
- Design resilient and well-modeled data layers with clear interfaces and versioning
- Improve data quality at scale, build modular and reusable packages and instrument pipelines for rich telemetry
- Identify scalability problems and constraints in our products, and proactively work to improve them
- Drive and introduce initiatives across our data team to improve developer experience and develop new data capabilities
- Create and maintain the most reliable, secure, performant and high throughput service for our customers by using cutting-edge cloud technology
Requirements:
- 8+ years in data engineering with significant data product ownership
- Strong proficiency with standard machine learning techniques
- Experience with batch processing of data at scale (>100s of Terrabytes)
- Strong ownership, collaboration and communication skills
- You must have an eligible work permit in the USA to be considered for this position
- Familiarity with the GCP, BigQuery, dbt and Dagster data stack
- Familiarity with healthcare domain and data
