Project Engineer

Mueller Water Products, Inc. is a leader in water infrastructure solutions, dedicated to developing products that ensure safe drinking water. The Project Engineer will manage project tasks, collaborate with various teams, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Work cross-functionally with several internal and external teams including Legal, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, Trade Compliance, Order Entry, Field Services and Purchasing
• Prepare submittals and re-submittals for approval
• Handle all project management tasks, customer requirements, contract administration and customer service from beginning to the completion of an assigned project
• Review engineering site plans and specifications to confirm the product fits and complies
• Create "Bills of Materials"
• Running sizing calculations for electric motors to confirm they will work with valves

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in mainframe programs that include inventory control such as JD Edwards (JDE)
• 1 year of experience in backlog dashboard creation & coding
• 1 year of experience in workflow automation
• 1 year of experience in engineering design
• 1 year of experience in project management methodologies such as SCRUM or DMAIC
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field of study
• 1 year of experience as a Project Management Intern, Operations Intern, Turbomachinery Engineering Intern, or related role where experience was gained
