Civil Engineer

AfterQuery Experts is a research lab investigating the boundaries of artificial intelligence through novel datasets and experimentation. They are seeking Civil Engineering Experts to create and refine engineering challenges for AI training modules.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality civil engineering questions and case studies that challenge AI models on topics such as structural analysis, foundation design, transportation planning, hydraulics, soil mechanics, construction management, building codes, environmental engineering, and more
• Evaluate and validate model responses, offering detailed feedback to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to civil engineering standards and best practices
• Collaborate with a team of engineering and technical experts to fine-tune question difficulty and ensure content is both challenging and educational

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited program
• Proven experience in civil engineering practice, design, or project management with a robust understanding of civil engineering principles and methodologies
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Multiple years of civil engineering experience, ideally across diverse projects and specialties (structural, transportation, geotechnical, water resources, environmental, etc.)
• Prior involvement in engineering publications, standards development, or engineering technology initiatives
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• advanced degree (MS, PhD)
• relevant certifications
