They are seeking a Senior Financial Control Analyst to conduct financial and operational control reviews, support the design and implementation of internal controls, and contribute to remediation action plans.
Responsibilities:
- Lead financial and operational control assessments using a consulting-style approach, including scoping reviews, developing risk‑based sampling methodologies, and designing targeted testing procedures to identify revenue and expense leakage
- Partner with process owners and cross‑functional stakeholders to document and assess end‑to‑end processes, providing insight on control design and operational effectiveness
- Analyze complex financial and operational workflows to identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and risk exposures, translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Identify and analyze root causes of control failures and financial errors, assessing downstream financial impact and advising on practical, sustainable remediation strategies
- Evaluate adherence to financial policies and control standards, advising business partners on compliance expectations and risk implications
- Design and support implementation of enhanced controls that mitigate financial risk, reduce leakage, and improve process consistency across the organization
- Function as a controls subject‑matter advisor, educating and influencing stakeholders on the value of strong internal controls and their role in protecting revenue and managing costs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (Accounting/Finance) and 3 years related experience required
- Solid understanding of internal controls
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Intermediate desktop skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with process flows and process narrative documentation
- Ability to compile and analyze complex data
- Financial and/or Operational Internal Audit experience preferred
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA) a plus
- Experience in the Insurance Industry and/or with Third Party Service Administrators
